Day Sailing in Cochin

Sailing trips depart from Cochin each day during the sailing season - mid October to April. The yachts depart from the Malabar Yacht Club Jetty in Mattancherry - about 1.5 KM from Fort Cochin.

From the jetty the journey goes past the historical buildings of Fort Cochin. Guests enjoy excellent sea views of the traditionally styled Cochin Port building, the Chinese nets and historical colonial buildings. They are able to grasp the layout of the several Islands and mainland projections that make up this region. After passing by Fort Cochin and Vypin Island it is out to the Arabian Sea for coastal sailing, dolphin watch, sea fishing and swimming. Guests are welcome to participate in sailing the vessel.

Slightly longer trips are available for guests wanting to sail to Cherai Beach or Mararai Beach/Alleppey. These are overnight trips and can be one way.
